So much social media has just become "CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS PERSON HAS A BAD OPINION??" and most of the time I just kinda have to sit here and go "Why does anyone care?"


This has been made even more problematic IMO when you consider how strong outrage culture has become. Giving these people attention only accomplishes the goal of making them more relevant, which inevitably goes against the original reasoning for doing so.

We see it so often nowadays and yet internet society continues to follow into the same trap...

@shadow8t4 reminds me of that episode of "South Park" were PC Principle makes Butters read & remove all bad comments from ppls social media, which ends up making him try to kill himself... poor Butters 😔
