Life tip - if you meet someone who apologizes constantly for things that seem arbitrary and unnecessary to apologize for, they are likely either active or former victims of abuse. Don't pry, don't question, just be aware of this. It's not a true fact, but more of a "square is a rectangle" sort of thing. (not all people who act like this are victims, but most if not all victims are likely to act like this)

@tinytoydragon It has been years since the last time I was in a real bad one, but it's still difficult to change the habit. The worst is when people try to tell me that I shouldn't apologize so much, I know their heart is in the right place, but...
They don't recognize they're kinda rubbing it in...
